Design Team Call

Want to unleash your creative spirit with us? We love imagination and dislike loads of rules. To be on our team, you can use things that you already have on hand and have a lot of freedom in your creations. There’s no specific products to buy, no specific stamp sets to use, and what we hope is a reasonable time commitment.

Gingersnap Creations is dedicated to papercrafting fun in a low-stress environment and we want our Design Team to be built on those same ideals.

Here are the DT requirements for the 6 month term
(September 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010):

- participate in two Gingersnap challenges a month - your choice (2 creations per month with 2 challenge "vacations" - 10 creations total per term)

- create one step-by-step project and/or tutorial for an assigned month which fits that month’s theme or technique/supply focus (1 per term)

- post three follow-ups to a Gingersnap Creation’s project and/or tutorial on your own blog linking back to Gingersnap Creations (3 projects/creations per term)

- submit one card for the "Reasons to Stamp" reoccurring article for 3 separate months (3 creations per term)

- participate in 3 blog hops per term

The easy stuff:
- post our badge on your blog
- provide pictures/scans of your sample cards for the blog
- post your challenge creations on your blog linking back to Gingersnap Creations
- become a member of the Gingersnap Creations Yahoo Group (if you aren’t already)

Sum total of your commitment:
- 16 creations over 6 months
- one tutorial or step-by-step project
- 3 blog hops

How to apply:

We will be accepting applications for up to 8 Design Team positions starting on July 15 and closing on August 15, 2009.

We will review submissions from August 16 through August 25, 2009! The new Design Team will be notified on August 26, 2009 and we will announce our team members on the blog on September 1, 2009! See...no stress!

No experience necessary! No past publication necessary! Creativity is your best qualification!

12. Please include pictures or links to 5 projects that demonstrate your creativity in papercrafting with a brief description of each. Please keep emailed project pictures to a reasonable size ie 80K or less.

Anything that fits the category of papercrafting is acceptable!

We will consider any papercrafting projects as submissions: cards, scrapbook pages, journals, altered pieces, postcards, ATCs, Moos, Inchies, Twinchies, mixed media pieces, collage art, home decor items, 3-dimensional items, 4x4, 3x3, 6x6, etc.

We will be reserving a certain number of positions for Gingersnappers (the group made up of members of our own Yahoo group, Followers of the blog and our email subscribers).

To be considered a "Gingersnapper", you must be an active Gingersnap Creations Yahoo Group member, Gingersnap Creations blog follower OR Gingersnap Creations email subscriber as of July 31st.
