Our newest color challenge is
M E T A L L I C S!
By the way, I just love the definition of metallic - of or suggesting metal, as in luster, resonance, or hardness.

Our January sponsor, Serendipity Stamps, has graciously donated some blog candy!

One randomly drawn winner of this challenge will receive this beautiful cling set from Serendipity:

For your chance to win this fabulous blog candy, just follow the simple guidelines below:
1) Make a papercrafting or mixed media creation using something that is metallic in nature or coloring or includes something metallic;
2) Post your creation to your blog or online gallery with a mention and link to this post; and
3) Come back to this post and leave a comment including a link to your creation or use Mister Linky below. Remember to make it a link to the specific post or picture and not just a general link to your blog or gallery. We need to be able to find your art!

So many different ways to shimmer things up. No excuse for you gingersnappers not to enter this one! great samples!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to use some of my Shimmer Sheetz that have been buried under other 'stuff' in my stash. :-)
ReplyDeleteLoved the idea of this challenge - then got stuck halfway through and had to sleep on it before finishing it today!!
ReplyDeleteThis challenge was made for me LOL! I may enter a few cards and also thanks for making me pull out some of those supplies that are gathering dust (that shouldn't be)!

I made three cards for the Metallics Challenge. I love the samples from the Design Team. Two are un Metallics and on is under Putting on the Glitz.
ReplyDeleteI made a valentine tag with Adirondack gold metallic paint dabber, misted with gold Perfect Pearls, and added gold scrap trim.
ReplyDeleteI finally got my card done. My scanner would not pick up the metallic hearts very well, but if you look at the edges of them you can see the red reflecting. I think the metallic is so reflective that the scanner just can't pick up the true color. This was a fun challenge that made me dig through my stash! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm very new here and I'm in no way, shape or form going to try and imagine myself up to the caliber of the fabulous pieces of work I've seen on this site and in this challenge. You ladies are "rockers" and I am such an admirer.
ReplyDeleteHowever, that being said, I humbly offer my entry. I hope you like it, please let me know.
Well--I finally managed to get something posted for this challenge! Hope you like it!
