A little mini-project for this months "May Muse" using an old book cover and recylcing it into art. I used this old book cover that had fallen off the book it once protected and created a little collage.
Using bits of old lace, ephemera, ribbon, vintage buttons and images from Paper Whimsy. This was super simple to create and could have eyelets added to the top to hang.
(1) I ran glue along the edge of the book and added vintage lace. Add a few old buttons.
(2)Layer ephemera and pattern papers underneath the vintage photo. I like to distress my edges using Vintage Photo Distress ink from Ranger. I used double sided tape on the back of these items, but you can use your favorite glue.
(3)A small bit of ephemera was added to the bottom of the photo.
(4) Tie a strand of vintage ribbon along the edge and tie. Attach a pin (Tim Holtz) and aged tag.
(5) Add buttons to the corner.
Super simple and a great way to recycle an old book cover!
Beautiful, Nancy!
